Why don’t you have to touch off on trams?
When you travel with myki on a tram you don’t always need to touch off at the end of your journey.
That’s because you can now travel from one end of a tram route to the other on a Zone 1 fare.
But for most of us, it means never having to touch off when you leave the tram and you still receive the lowest fare..

Do you touch out on trams?
Unlike National Rail, Underground and DLR you only need to touch in when using Oyster on buses and trams. This is because there is only one flat fare wherever you go, regardless of whether you travel one stop or the whole length of the route. On buses you touch in as you enter.
