What do you use to seal pictures on wood?
Apply 2 to 3 coats of regular Mod Podge.
Be sure to extend the Mod Podge past the edges of the picture and onto the wood itself.
This will help seal it in further.
Allow the first coat to dry for 15 to 20 minutes before applying the next one.
If you need to, let the second coat dry, then add a third..
Can I put polyurethane over Modge podge?
I’ve used a non yellowing polyurethane varnish on top of modge podge with no problems. I don’t like the finish I get with modge podge, so I usually lightly sand the top coat and then apply the polyurethane.
How do you seal a picture to glass?

Will polyurethane ruin a picture?
Keep in mind that normal (turps clean up ) polyurethane will yellow over time and will affect the viewabillity of the photo. Use (water clean up ) polyurethane as it drys clear and does not yellow. there are problems with applying finishes over paper.
